LIS integration

Works with the LIS you already run.

Swastya AI isn’t a LIS and doesn’t replace one. Your LIS sends each signed report to Swastya AI over a secure connection, and 12 weeks of WhatsApp follow-up start from there, in your lab’s name.

Step 1 · in your lab

Your LIS signs the report

Patient & mobileTests & resultsReference rangesReport PDF
HTTPS · lab ID + secret

Step 2 · Swastya AI

Every report read, then placed

22 combined patterns and 36 clinical safety checks, then one of six categories that sets the pace and the safety lane.

Step 3 · the patient

On WhatsApp, from you

Explained in plain words, then 12 weeks of coaching from your lab’s number.

Step 3 · your team

On your dashboard

Retest requests, urgent values and MIS reports.
Week 11: the retest is booked with your lab, and the next report starts the cycle again.
Your LIS sends each signed report to Swastya AI over HTTPS with your lab ID and secret. Swastya AI reads it and places it in one of six categories. The patient hears from your lab on WhatsApp, your team sees retests and urgent values on a dashboard, and in week 11 the retest is booked back with your lab.

Ways to connect

Real time, end of day, or upload.

Pick what your LIS can do today. You can start with uploads and switch to real time when your vendor is ready.

Your LIS sends each report to Swastya AI as soon as your pathologist signs it.

Your LIS vendor
Points report events at the webhook we give you, with your lab ID and secret.
Swastya AI
Maps your panels and packages, tests on your own report formats, and confirms every report that arrives.
Your team
Nothing new. Reports flow on their own.

Best for: Most labs. The patient has the report explained on WhatsApp within minutes of signing.

Data

What travels, and what doesn’t.

Only what the 12 weeks need. Your LIS stays the record of the report.

Sent with each report

  • Patient name and mobile number
  • Age and sex
  • The tests and package ordered
  • Each result, with its unit and reference range
  • The signed report PDF
  • A report ID, so a report sent twice is read once

Never needed

  • Billing records or payment details
  • Analyser or machine data
  • Patients who don’t have a report with you
  • Logins to your LIS screens or database

For your LIS vendor

One webhook. No change to your screens.

How it connects
Your LIS makes an HTTPS POST to a webhook set up for your lab: each time a report is signed, or once a day as a batch.
Authentication
A lab ID and secret on every call. Each lab gets its own credentials and its own environment.
What it sends
The patient, the tests, each result with its unit and reference range, and the signed PDF, as JSON.
Duplicates and retries
Every report carries an ID. Send it again and it is read once, so retries are safe.
On day 1
You get the field spec and a test endpoint, and we set up a joint call in the first week.

Security & safety

Secure by default, logged by design.

  • Your lab ID and secret on every call

Reports are only accepted from your LIS, with your credentials.

  • A dedicated environment per lab

Each lab runs in its own environment, with its own credentials and safeguards.

  • Each report read once

Even if your LIS sends it twice, the patient hears from you once.

  • Every message on the record

Each message is logged with the reason it was sent, for your team to check.

  • Patients stay in control

Replying STOP ends every message, and one WhatsApp message opts a patient out of data use.

  • Urgent values go to a person

Values only a doctor should manage reach your team, never the coaching.

Go-live

Live in about four weeks.

A typical plan. Day 1 starts when you share WhatsApp access and the documents Meta needs.

  1. 01WhatsApp channel

Your WhatsApp Business number, message templates and Meta verification.

Meta reviewWorking days 1 to 3, then Meta review until day 9.
  2. 02Secure environment

A dedicated environment for your lab, with its own credentials.

    Working days 1 to 4.
  3. 03LIS connection and panel mapping

Done when a sample report from your LIS arrives with the right patient, panel and category.

    Working days 2 to 6.
  4. 04Dashboard and MIS

Your team’s dashboard, the message log and MIS reports.

    Working days 5 to 10.
  5. 05End-to-end testing

On your own report formats, at your volumes, before any patient hears from us.

    Working days 11 to 18.
  6. 06Sign-off

Final checks with your team, then your go-ahead.

    Working days 19 to 20.

Working days. Phases overlap, so go-live lands on day 21, about four weeks from the day you share WhatsApp access.

Go live · day 21

  2. 2Your list of panels, packages and test names.
  3. 3A technical contact at your LIS vendor.
  4. 4One sample report in your current format.

Questions

Integration questions.

Which LIS does Swastya AI work with?

Any LIS that can send a report out over HTTPS when it is signed, one at a time or as a daily batch. If yours can’t yet, your team can upload reports while your vendor sets it up.

Does Swastya AI replace our LIS?

No. Your LIS stays your system for registration, billing, samples, machines and reports. Swastya AI only receives signed reports and runs the follow-up after them.

Who does the integration work?

Your LIS vendor points report events at our webhook. We do the panel mapping and the testing, and we set up a joint call with your vendor in the first week.

Do our staff need to learn new software?

Not for reports: they keep working in your LIS. Retest requests and urgent values show up on the Swastya dashboard.

What if our LIS sends the same report twice?

It is read once. Every report carries an ID, so retries are safe.

Can we start before the LIS connection is ready?

Yes. Your team uploads reports on a secure page, and you switch to the automatic connection when your vendor is ready.

Whose WhatsApp number do messages come from?

Yours. We set up the message templates on your WhatsApp Business account and take them through Meta’s review.

How is patient data protected?

Every call carries your lab ID and secret, each lab runs in its own environment, and every message is logged with its reason. Patients can stop messages with STOP and opt out of data use with one WhatsApp message.
